How to Make Folded Paper Butterfly

Let’s learn to make a folded paper butterfly with Monkey Pen. The step-by-step guide will help us do the craft easily and effectively. 

Step 1: Take a square, dark rose and royal blue colored paper.

Step 2: Now take scissors.

Step 3: Cut the papers into round shapes, with rose of medium size and blue slightly bigger.

Step 4: Take the blue paper. Now make folding inside one time and outside one time. Repeat the process for the full paper.

Step 5: Now the folded design is ready; it looks like stripes.

Step 6: Hold the paper and shrink the design inwards. Press it well so that you can see two fans.

Step 7: Now make the same fan design in dark rose paper too.

Step 8: Apply some glue on one side of the rose paper that looks like the alphabet ‘V’.

Step 9: Take the blue paper and paste it over the rose one.

Step 10: Now release the folding a little bit to look like butterfly wings.

Step 11: Now take a narrow, yellow colored strip, slightly taller than the whole design. Paste it at the centre, between the wings. This portion makes the butterfly’s body.

Step 12: Take a black sketch and draw the butterfly's eyes.

Step 13: Then add a mouth and other details on the yellow strip.

Step 14: Now fix its tubular antennae at the top of the yellow strip.

Step 15: Shimmering folded paper butterflies are ready. Using the above steps, you can make any number of butterflies you want.
