How to Draw a Flamingo – Easy Tropical Bird Drawing for Kids

It is not as difficult to draw a flamingo as you think. With Monkey Pen’s easy step-by-step guide, you can amazingly create flamingo art.
Step 1: First, we can start with the beak. Draw a slightly broad, curved beak.

Step 2: Draw a rounded head that starts above the beak and extends till the back neck.

Step 3: Add its lower head that looks like a small curve.

Step 4: Draw its front neck that is narrower from the beginning to the end.

Step 5: Draw its fluffy lower body with few soft curves.

Step 6: Draw its upper rounded body with a long, gentle curved line.

Step 7: Draw its lower body at the back and its tail using a medium curved line with tiny bumps.

Step 8: Include a feather that looks like a sharp oval within the body.

Step 9: Add one of its legs that is narrow, tubular, and resembles the alphabet "V" facing the right side. At the end of the leg lies a vertical, its wide feet in a vertical position.

Step 10: Include the other leg too, which is long, vertical, and lying under a curved portion. The feet are wide, lying horizontally with sharp claws.

Step 11: Give the eyebrow and detailing for the beak using tiny dash-like lines. Also highlight the tip of the beak. On its feet, add vertical lines and horizontal lines to show its webbed feet.

Step 12: Fill the highlighted portion of the beak.

Step 13: Add feather patterns for the tail and at the backside of the wing using vertical lines

Step 14: Complete the feather pattern for the whole wing using narrow U- and tiny U-shaped designs.

Step 15: Include rounded eyes for both eyes.

Step 16: Darken the eyes.

Step 17: A graceful flamingo drawing is done.
