Drawing a ghost doesn't have to be a daunting task. We've created a simple, step-by-step guide, specifically designed for kids. Teaching kids’ new skills and watching them beam at their creations is what we strive for at Monkey Pen. Drawing a ghost is a wonderful first step to just starting.
Why is Drawing a Ghost So Much Fun?
Ghosts are just plain fun to draw! Draw a ghost who isn't perfectly symmetrical and doesn't have to have straight lines. Simple curvy lines are enough to make a ghost.
Ghost drawings with Monkey Pen’s easy-to-draw worksheets are simple and enjoyable. Children can draw a ghost with a funny expression or even a sleepy one. Adding a few little details makes every ghost unique, and they can also explore how to draw a wizard drawing for kids to create more magical characters.
Did you know that early cartoons featured ghosts? Animators love drawing them because they are so easy to draw and animate!
Why can ghosts be adorable?
Ghosts can be adorable instead of scary! Many kids love drawing friendly ghosts rather than scary ones.
Children can get creative and make their ghosts look even cuter by adding the following:
- Big, round eyes
- A tiny, cheerful mouth
- Gentle, wavy outlines
Children can even make their ghosts look more cheerful by adding silly faces. Drawing ghost faces helps children explore feelings and narratives with their drawings.
We understand that children enjoy learning through videos, particularly those that are colorful and easy to follow. Drawing videos for children exemplify how easily they teach children to draw friendly ghosts, step by step.
Kids can pause and rewind as often as they like to practice and try again. This creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere more like learning with a friend than a teacher. To continue practicing, they can also use step by step drawing worksheets that guide them through each stage at their own pace.
Drawing as a skill is all about practice
Worksheets support practice! Our printable activity worksheets are designed so children can really work through their drawings. They can draw, colour and design ghosts however they please.
These worksheets are ideal for children who want to practise drawing a ghost and work at their own pace, whether at home or at school.
Ghosts with a Creative Spirit!
Ghosts can inspire creativity, as we do with practice drawings!
Kids can learn how to draw a Halloween ghost and then use the drawings to:
- Create personalised greeting cards
- Add to the spooky decor in their room or build a Halloween scene.
- Illustrate a story with fun scenes
That simple drawing could lead to a larger creative project.
Learning to Boost Creativity
Kids learn drawing skills, but the benefits don't stop there.
They sharpen their fine motor skills, gain focus, and learn to tell stories through drawings. Regardless of the theme whether it's a ghost or a superhero it boosts confidence! You can also make practice more fun with connect the dots printable activities that help build shapes before drawing.
Imagination is the limit!
A ghost can be scary or friendly, sleepy, or even floating in the air!
