How to Draw an Island Scenery – Tropical Landscape Art for Kids

Palm trees, calm water, and sandy shores appear as kids follow simple picture steps to create a tiny island scene.

Step 1: Make a curved palm leaf.

Step 2: Include a second palm next to it.

Step 3: Create two additional palm leaves near the top.

Step 4: Include the remaining leaves to create the top.

Step 5: Draw a long, curved tree trunk beneath the leaves.

Step 6: Make curved lines along the trunk to create the appearance of texture.

Step 7: Draw the left-hand side of the ground.

Step 8: Finish the island's outline.

Step 9: Create a small shrub in the middle of the tree.

Step 10: Make sure to add more bushes to the side to your right.

Step 11: Create short grass-like lines close to the bushes.

Step 12: Draw a straight line of the horizon on the back.

Step 13: Sketch the setting sun over the edge of the horizon.

Step 14: Create small ripples of water in the ocean.

Step 15: Create curved waves of water all around the beach.

Step 16: Two clouds are added to the sky.

Step 17: Draw three birds flying near the clouds.

Step 18: Draw the final sketch by drawing the entire island scene.
