How to Draw a Leopard – Easy Step-by-Step (Amur Leopard for Kids)

Step 1: Start by drawing a head. Draw a short, wavy line with bumps to indicate the fur.
Step 2: Draw a downwards curve to shape the head and cheek.
Step 3: Draw a curve and pull it under the head to shape the cheek and jaw.
Step 4: Start from the right and pull the curve upwards to shape the head and complete the curve.
Step 5: Draw the head. Add the details of the ears by drawing a curve on the right and another on the left.
Step 6: Add the face details on the right and left sides of the head. Draw a triangle for the nose and pull a curve under it. Look to the right and draw a curve. Then draw the mouth again.
Step 7: Start from the head and pull a long curve to the right. This is the back of the head.
Step 8: Starting from the head, pull a curve downwards. This is the shape of the head, the neck, and the front of the chest.
Step 9: Let’s draw the first front leg: extend a long vertical line downwards from the chest, curve that line at the end so the paw is formed, and wrap the line back up to finish the back of the leg.
Step 10: Now, add the second front leg just behind the first. Draw a vertical line downwards, curve that line at the bottom to form the paw, and connect the line upwards to finish the leg.
Step 11: Draw a slightly horizontal curved line through the middle of the body. This line is the belly.
Step 12: Now, to add the back leg, start the line right about the end of the belly line. Draw a large curve for the back leg that extends downwards and backwards. Round that curve at the bottom of the back paw, and draw the line upward to finish the leg.
Step 13: Draw a long curve that is at the back of the body, going straight out, and then a slight curl at the end. This will form the tail of the leopard.
Step 14: To add the second back leg, draw a curved line going down from the body. Round the bottom to form the paw.
Step 15: Draw small details. Draw short curved lines on the chest to show muscle/fur detail. Also, add tiny curved lines on the front and back paws to show toes.
Step 16: Draw short curved lines on each side of the muzzle. These form the whiskers.
Step 17: Add small round and oval spots on the top and sides of the head. These start the pattern of the leopard’s fur.
Step 18: Add more spots on the face to complete the leopard markings.
Step 19: Draw small oval spots on the leopard’s shoulders, chest, and upper back.
Step 20: Add more spots in the middle of the body and the back legs.
Step 21: Draw spots on the front legs and the lower back legs.
Step 22: Add ring-shaped stripes along the tail from base to tip.
Step 23: Draw the pupils and the inner eye lines. Also, draw the face details and small features of the eyes.
Step 24: Darken and clean the face details to finish the leopard’s expression. Colour it to see the magic.
