How to Draw a Pangolin – Step-by-Step Wildlife Sketch for Kids

Learn how to draw an easy pangolin. Monkey Pen’s step-by-step guide is here to help you.

Step 1: Start from the snout that looks pointed.

Step 2: Then draw its rough head, neck, and body using a long, curved line filled with gentle spikes.

Step 3: Draw the back and tail outline using the spiky line itself, which looks like an "S" shape.

Step 4: Add the front leg, which is short, along with pointed claws.

Step 5: Draw its lower body using a short spiky line.

Step 6: Include its hind leg, which is the same as the front leg but looks a little short.

Step 7: Add the lower tail with a curved line.

Step 8: Give another front leg that is on the other side.

Step 9: Create its other hind leg too, which is even shorter than the previous one

Step 10:  Add a nose and mouth with a tiny dot surrounded by a small incomplete oval and two thin lines above it.

Step 11: Differentiate the head and body with a series of tiny curves.

Step 12: Define the toes using tiny and wide inverted 'U's.

Step 13: Draw rough overlapping scales at the neck region.

Step 14:  Include scales on the body, just below the neck.

Step 15: Provide scales on the mid-portion of the body, too.

Step 16: Provide scales at the back too.

Step 17: On the tail portion, create small scales.

Step 18: On the first front leg, draw tiny scales.

Step 19: Draw scales on the first hind leg too.

Step 20: Also create scales on the other front leg.

Step 21: At last, give scales for the next hind leg too.

Step 22: Draw round eye for the pangolin.

Step 23: Darken the eye to show its pupil.

Step 24: The armored pangolin drawing is over.
