How to Draw a Pearl – Easy Step-by-Step Shell Drawing for Kids

Learn how to sketch a pearl with Monkey Pen’s step-by-step guide. 

Step 1: First draw a small circle for the pearl.

Step 2: On either side of the circle, create wavy lines that look like an oval’s top which is the lower shell.

Step 3: Make the lower part of the oval using wavy patterns below. 

Step 4: Draw an outline for the upper oval, with gentle curves.

Step 5: Outline the lower oval too.

Step 6: Below the lower oval’s outline, draw a wide U shape.

Step 7: On either side of wide U, extend curves above touching the lower oval’s outline.

Step 8: Complete both the sides by adding curved lines adjacently. This is the lower part of the shell.

Step 9: Make the shell’s upper part by drawing wavy lines on the right, that extend vertically above.

Step 10: On the left side, draw a wavy line of a similar pattern.

Step 11: Connect the lines from right and left with a wavy pattern; that completes the shell’s upper layer.

Step 12: Now outline the shell, starting from the right side.

Step 13: Gradually move to the centre for the outline. 

Step 14: Make an outline on the left.

Step 15: Draw a few vertical lines that look slightly inclined on the right side, within the upper shell.

Step 16: Then add some lines on the left.

Step 17: Draw a tiny circle and a rectangle with edges rounded on the right side of the pearl. Below the pearl, within the lower shell, add small, curved lines and a straight line.

Step 18: A round pearl drawing is completed.
