Feb 10, 2026
Ready to learn sloth drawing using easy methods? Here is Monkey Pen’s step-by-step guide for how to draw a sloth.
Step 1: First, we will draw the sloth’s head. Draw a heart shape in a slanting position for the head.

Step 2: Add fluffy texture over the head for one side using a series of curves.

Step 3: Include the fluffiness for the other side too. (Refer to step 2)

Step 4: Below the head, create its legs using a small curve followed by tiny curves.

Step 5: Give the fluffy texture to the legs as well.

Step 6: Draw its fluffy body right down from the head.

Step 7: Complete the whole body with the same fluffy design that looks like a half circle once done.

Step 8: Using the same design, draw the other leg too.

Step 9: Draw a tiny line between the legs to show that the creature is hanging on something.

Step 10: Draw its claws that look like a flower design.

Step 11: Add a branch for it to hold. Draw a small curve, then connect the head and both the legs with a straight line that is a little bit slanting.

Step 12: Draw a line parallel to the previous line to show the branch.

Step 13: Add claws to the other two legs that are not shown here, as those legs are positioned beside the tree.

Step 14: Draw the leaves along with a tiny twig. Show the central rib inside every leaf.

Step 15: Add eyebrows, nose and mouth for the sloth. Two dashes for eyebrows, a rounded triangle for the nose and a small ‘w’ for the mouth.

Step 16: Include eyes using small circles.

Step 17: Fill the eyes inside for the eyeballs. Leave one corner of each eye unshaded to show its curious eyes.

Step 18: An adorable sloth drawing is complete.
