How to Draw a Valley Scenery – Easy Nature Landscape for Kids
Mar 24, 2026
Rolling hills, flowing paths, and open skies come together as kids sketch a peaceful valley scene with simple steps.
Step 1: Draw an extended, bumpy line towards the lower right corner of your page.

Step 2: Create rounded rocks as well as small stone shapes over the bottom of the area.

Step 3: Complete the foreground rocky area by drawing additional stones and a sloping ground in front of them.

Step 4: Imagine a river winding from the middle before turning towards the front.

Step 5: Then, add the area around the river, with soft lines of sloping on both sides.

Step 6: Add more lines of land to outline the valley as well as the river path.

Step 7: Create a cluster of tall trees to the right of the middle.

Step 8: Draw a mountain range in the background.

Step 9: Include an additional row of bushes as well as small trees to the left.

Step 10: Draw the trunks of the trees under each tree on the opposite side.

Step 11: Another mountain should be added just behind the one you have in the background of the centre.

Step 12: Draw the details of the mountains using long lines that slant to highlight ridges and textures.

Step 13: A few bushes can be added to the foreground on the left.

Step 14: The flowing water of the drawing is a feature in the river, as well as the waterfall that is at the front.

Step 15: Your valley scenery is ready. Color it with your favourite shades to see the magic.
