One day, a little monkey was very hungry.
He saw a tree full of green bananas.
“Yummy!” he said.
He picked one and took a bite.
“Eww! It’s not sweet,” he made a face.
“I want sweet bananas!” he said.
An old parrot on the tree said,
“Wait for some time.
They will turn yellow and sweet.”
The monkey sat and waited.
The sun shone bright.
Time passed slowly.
After a while, the bananas turned yellow.
The monkey picked one and took a bite.
“Mmm… sweet!” he smiled.
“I’m glad I waited,” he said happily.
Moral: Good things come with patience.
