Digging For Bones - Nursery Rhymes by Monkey Pen

I have a pup who loves to dig,
With floppy ears and tail so big!

He sniffs the ground, then starts to scratch,
"Let’s find a bone — or maybe a batch!"

He digs a hole near Grandma’s rose,
And up pops... someone’s garden hose!

He gives a bark and wags with pride,
Then jumps to dig the other side.

He finds a hat and someone's shoe,
A rusty bell, and something blue!

No bones yet, but he won’t stop —
His digging paws go plop-plop-plop!

At last he finds a squeaky toy,
It makes a sound — “Squeak!” — full of joy!

He spins around and gives a cheer,
“Best digging day of all the year!”
