Benny likes to say, “I’ll do it later.” But when little jobs keep getting pushed aside, his day starts to feel messy, tricky, and a little disappointing. This gentle and relatable story shows how doing small things on time can make each day brighter, smoother, and more fun.

One morning, Benny woke up and stretched in his bed.
Mama opened the curtains.
Bright sunshine filled the room.
"Benny," Mama said gently.

“Please fold your blanket and brush your teeth."
Benny rolled over.
"I'll do it later," he mumbled.
Mama smiled softly.
"Alright."

A little later, Papa called from the kitchen.
"Come eat breakfast before it gets cold!"
"I'm coming later!" Benny shouted.

But he stayed on the sofa a little longer.
Soon, his toast became cold and hard.
"Mmm... not tasty," Benny said sadly.

After breakfast, Benny played with his toys.
Blocks here...
cars there...
crayons everywhere...
Mama said,
"Please put your toys away when you finish."
"I will later," Benny replied again.

Soon, Benny wanted his favourite toy car.
But he could not find it.
He looked under pillows...
under the table...
behind the sofa...
"Oh no!" he cried.

The room was messy.
Papa came and helped him look.
At last, they found the toy car hiding under a blanket.
"If we clean up early," Papa said gently.
"Things are much easier to find."
Benny nodded quietly.

That afternoon, Mama said,
"Please water the little plant near the window."
"I'll do it later," Benny answered.
Then he forgot.

The next morning, the little plant looked droopy.
Its leaves hung sadly.
"Oh..." Benny whispered.
Mama sat beside him.
"Plants need a little care every day," she said softly.

Benny looked at the little plant.
"I forgot because I kept saying 'later,'" he said quietly.
Mama hugged him gently.
"Doing little jobs on time helps everything stay happy and healthy."

The next morning, Benny decided to try something different.
He folded his blanket.

He brushed his teeth.
He put away his toys after playing.
Then he watered the little plant.
Splash... splash...

Day by day, the plant stood tall again.
Its leaves became fresh, green, and happy.

Benny looked around his room.
His bed was neat.
His toys were easy to find.
His breakfast was warm.
His little plant looked healthy again.
Benny smiled proudly.

"I finished my little jobs," he said.
"And now I have more time to play!"
Papa laughed warmly.
"That's the secret," he said.
"When we finish little jobs first, life becomes easier."
From that day on, Benny still rested...
He still played and still laughed...

But he stopped saying "later" to everything.
And every day became happier,
cleaner,
brighter,
and full of more time for fun.
Moral: Doing little things on time makes every day easier and happier.
