How to make a colorful Paper Butterfly: step-by-step Instructions 

Step 1: Take an uncut rectangular piece of colored paper.

Step 2: Place the paper on a flat surface.

Step 3: Fold the paper in half to form a smaller rectangle.

Step 4: Fold the right corner diagonally to the centre crease of the square.

Step 5: Fold the left side diagonally to the centre of the crease.

Step 6: Open the folded paper and ensure that the fold lines are clearly visible.

Step 7: Pull the folds towards the centre until they begin to form the base of the butterfly.

Step 8: Fold the paper through the folded line in a neat manner.

Step 9: Fold the top part down to form a triangle shape.

Step 10: Press the folds with a firm press to hold the shape.

Step 11: Lift the flaps on either side to create the butterfly wings and also make a small cut through the center fold as shown in the image.

Step 12: Fold the right side of the wing, from the cut you have made, towards the outer edge.

Step 13: Press it firmly.

Step 14: Fold the left side backwards in the same manner. Take care to open both wings and adjust them equally.

Step 15: Your base form of a butterfly has now been completed. Now take a black color pen or marker.

Step 16: Draw the outline of a wing as well as decorative patterns as in the image.

Step 17: Complete decorating the wings. The colorful butterfly craft is now ready! Now make more butterflies of different colors!
