How to Make Paper Cup Crab
Want to learn how to make a paper cup crab? Monkey Pen teaches you a wonderful paper cup crab craft using a few basic materials.
Step 1: Take a paper cup first.
Step 2: Turn the cup upside down and, using scissors, cut one portion of the cup vertically.

Step 3: Similarly cut the other side vertically so it looks like a rectangle. Now pull this rectangle upward and press it so it stays strong facing up.

Step 4: Near this rectangle, on the right side, cut a medium strip.

Step 5: Cut a few more strips so it looks like strands of paper.

Step 6: Also repeat this process on the left side of the rectangle.

Step 7: Near the strands of paper on any one side, now make another cut vertically upwards, placing scissors in a slanting sideways position.

Step 8: You can now see almost a rectangle.

Step 9: Now cut vertically near another set of paper strands, so this too looks like a rectangle.

Step 10: Now hold the paper cup sidewise, and between the rectangles, make a straight cut vertically using scissors.

Step 11: The rectangular portion is removed.

Step 12: Now place the cup in the previous position. i.e., inverted position and cut at the centre using scissors.

Step 13: Now you can see two individual pieces.

Step 14: Using fingers, pull one part upward.

Step 15: Now the two individual pieces and one rectangle look flat and straight.

Step 16: Ensure that the paper strands are also lying flat.

Step 17: Between two sets of paper strands, you can see a rectangle. Pull it front.

Step 18: Now take scissors and cut the rectangle from the base and remove it.

Step 19: The craft looks like it is shown in the figure.

Step 20: Take scissors and make a small cut on one end of one rectangle, so it looks like a triangle.

Step 21: Refer to the picture; this is how it looks after the triangular cut.

Step 22: Now cut the tip of another rectangle, too, to form a triangle.

Step 23: Using scissors, remove the pointed ends on both sides of two small square individual pieces

Step 24: After cutting, both squares become rounded.

Step 25: Now take one triangular-cut rectangle and twist it so the white part faces upward.

Step 26: Repeat the same for the other rectangular piece too.

Step 27: Hold one paper strand and press it so the tip faces downward.

Step 28: Repeat this for one set of paper strands.

Step 29: Do the same for another set of paper strands too.

Step 30: Now take a small round piece of white paper.

Step 31: Paste it on top of one rounded square.

Step 32: Take another circular paper and use it for another round.

Step 33: Now take a black sketch pen.

Step 34: Draw one eye on one circle.
Step 35: Complete the other eye too. Also include eyebrows above both the eyes. On the bigger round white paper, create its mouth with a wide curve.

Step 36: Draw its full mouth with dash-like lines at both the ends. Include a small curve below.

Step 37: A playful paper cup crab craft is ready. You can make any number of different colored crabs you want using paper cups.
