How to Make Paper Lotus
Step 1: Take a round, green paper and a slightly smaller pink paper.

Step 2: Fold the pink paper into equal halves.

Step 3: Fold it once again so it becomes a quarter of its size.

Step 4: Fold it one more time so it looks like a triangle.

Step 5: Now unfold the paper. The paper has numerous triangles that are of equal size.

Step 6: Using scissors, cut open the triangles at every folding mark.

Step 7: All the triangles are cut, and the paper looks as shown in the figure.

Step 8: Similarly, repeat the entire process using green paper as well. Now the green paper looks the same as the pink one.

Step 9: Apply some glue on the backside of the pink paper.

Step 10: Fold the corner of every triangle backside and paste it so it looks like a triangle at the top from the front.

Step 11: A layer of lotus petals is ready. Now repeat the same process using green paper.

Step 12: Make a few more layers of petals for the lotus in pink, with different sizes. See to it that one layer of petal is smaller than the other, starting with a bigger size.

Step 13: Take the green paper and place it on the surface. Now take the first petal layer and apply some glue to the centre of the backside.

Step 14: Paste the layer of petal over the green base.

Step 15: Take the other layers and arrange them one over another. Several layers of petals are done.

Step 16: Take a long, narrow rectangular yellow piece of paper and fold it in two so that it looks like equal halves.
Step 17: Fold it one more time. Then with the help of scissors, cut small strands on the lower portion of the paper.

Step 18: Now unfold the paper; you can see tiny strands completely.

Step 19: Roll the paper strand inwards.

Step 20: Once you finish rolling the paper, paste it using glue, so it does not detach.

Step 21: After pasting, press and hold it at the bottom.

Step 22: Use glue to stick the yellow paper in the centre of the first layer of petals.

Step 23: The yellow portion is done.

Step 24: You can also cut out a lotus leaf shape from green paper and place it under the lotus flower. An elegant paper lotus craft is completed.
