How to make paper toucan: step-by-step description

Step 1: Cut a square from black newspaper.

Step 2: Fold this black piece diagonally to create an equilateral triangle.

Step 3: Open it up slightly, and then pull one side towards the middle of the crease.

Step 4: Bring the other side towards the middle crease as well, creating a kite-like shape.

Step 5: Fold the folds inwards and keep the shape with a long point.

Step 6: Fold the shape lengthwise.

Step 7: Fold the longer end of the cylinder upwards.

Step 8: Adjust the fold until the body is slimmer and pointing towards one end.

Step 9: Unfold the flap and fold one side up to shape the toucan.

Step 10: Fold the lower flap upwards, starting from the top edge.

Step 11: Tuck and press the fold carefully to secure the shape.
