Pinweel Craft Step 1

Step 2: Fold the piece diagonally to form a triangle. The fold should be pressed neatly.

Pinweel Craft Step 2

Step 3: Fold the triangle a second time to mark the central line.

Pinweel Craft Step 3

Step 4: Unfold the fold you just closed so you have a triangle with a crease in the centre.

Pinweel Craft Step 4

Step 5: Open the paper completely. You will now see lines of creases crossing across the middle.

Pinweel Craft Step 5

Step 6: Cut along the folds from each corner toward the middle. But stop just before you reach the middle.

Pinweel Craft Step 6

Step 7: After cutting the paper, you will see that it has been divided into four pieces.

Pinweel Craft Step 7

Step 8: Fold a pointed corner from each section, then fold them into the middle.

Pinweel Craft Step 8

Step 9: Join the four corners in the middle to create an elongated pinwheel.

Pinweel Craft Step 9

Step 10: Pin or stick an elongated circle to secure the folded corners.

Pinweel Craft Step 10

Step 11: All the corners have been folded into the centre; glue or tape them down to create the pinwheel design.

Pinweel Craft Step 11

Step 12: Pin through the pinwheel's centre with care.

Pinweel Craft Step 12

Step 13: Use a small stick or toothpick to adjust and align the pinwheel so it turns in the right direction.

Pinweel Craft Step 13

Step 14: Connect the pinwheel to the stick and push it in, leaving a tiny gap so the pinwheel spins freely.

Pinweel Craft Step 14

Step 15: Use a bead or eraser to secure it to the pin's back.

Pinweel Craft Step 15

Step 16: Push the stick or pin through the folds in the corners, near the centre of the pinwheel.

Pinweel Craft Step 16

Step 17: Include a small centrepiece or a bead to neatly hold the corners together.

Pinweel Craft Step 17

Step 18: The pinwheel's shape is in place. Make sure that all four blades are evenly spaced.

Pinweel Craft Step 18

Step 19: Use a paper straw or a stick and prepare it for attachment to the rear of the pinwheel.

Pinweel Craft Step 19

Step 20: Pinwheels can be attached to a straw by pushing a pin through, leaving a tiny gap so the pinwheel will spin.

Pinweel Craft Step 20

Step 21: Your pinwheel is complete and is ready for a spin.
