How to Draw a Badger – Easy Forest Animal Drawing for Kids

This badger drawing lesson turns a detailed woodland animal into a calm, easy-to-follow sketching experience. The step-by-step visual guide helps learners build the badger gradually, starting with simple shapes and slowly adding facial markings, fur, and body structure without feeling overwhelming. It’s a great nature-themed activity for kids, animal lovers, and beginners who enjoy drawing wildlife in a structured way. Printable PDF worksheets are included, making it easy to practice each stage, revisit tricky details, and enjoy watching a striped forest badger come to life line by line.

Striped faces and furry shapes come together as kids sketch a badger using smooth lines and simple animal details.

Step 1: Draw the badger's head by curving it with little spikes at the same time. Afterward, draw the ears on the side of the badger using a U shape.

Step 2: Draw the face of the badger with little spikes and then follow that with a wavy line representing the badger’s snout.

Step 3: Make the left side of the face using some spikes and a spiral line that completes the snout.

Step 4: Add inner ears using little spikes in the form of alphabet 'u'.

Step 5: Draw an oval shaped nose with tiny circles for the nostrils.

Step 6: Highlight the face region with soft wavy lines towards the corners of the face.

Step 7: Make almost straight lines that pass centrally from the forehead till the mouth.

Step 8: Draw its body with a long-curved line made up of gentle spikes.

Step 9: Create its back along with the tail with a few spikes extending vertically and then take a deep U-turn.

Step 10: Draw its front right leg which is thick and short.

Step 11: Now sketch its front body with a slanting line built with spikes.

Step 12: Sketch the left leg along with the thigh.

Step 13: Draw the lower part of the belly with almost a straight line in spiky form.

Step 14: Add the right hind leg which is even shorter than the front leg.

Step 15: Create one side of the left hind leg with a wide U facing sideways, followed by an oval-shaped paw having little nails at the ends.

Step 16: Draw the other side of the left leg at the back with an L shape facing the opposite direction.

Step 17: Include tiny toes that are in the shape of small, narrow ovals.

Step 18: Give fur for the body surface with tiny dash-like lines.

Step 19: Add its eyes that look like rounded squares with a tiny curve on top of it.

Step 20: Darken the eyes, that is the square portion.

Step 21: A friendly badger drawing is over.
