How to Draw Love Birds – Easy Step-by-Step Bird Drawing for Kids

Create a heartwarming nature scene with Monkey Pen and learn how to draw love birds step by step using simple shapes and adorable details.

Step 1: Start with the nose of the bird, which is oval in shape.

Step 2: Draw a round head on top of it, on the right side.

Step 3: Below the head, draw a teardrop shape in an upside-down position for its wing.

Step 4: Sketch its rounded body on the opposite side.

Step 5: Draw another wide curve above it to show the thickness of the wing.

Step 6: Make a heart shape below the head for the face.

Step 7: Add a pair of legs below the body.

Step 8: Draw the nose of another love bird.  

Step 9: Now sketch its round head.

Step 10: Create its left wing in a teardrop shape.

Step 11: Make its body and outer wing on the right side.

Step 12: Above the nose, draw its face in a heart shape.

Step 13: A pair of legs is added.

Step 14: Draw a long horizontal branch along with a leaf for the birds to perch on.

Step 15: Complete the main branch with a long, curved line below. 

Step 16: Add budding leaves on the left side of the branch.

Step 17: Draw the tail outline for both the birds.

Step 18: Add the inner tail to the birds.

Step 19: Make the feather pattern for the first bird.

Step 20: Similarly, provide the pattern for the second bird too.

Step 21: Draw vertical lines on each bird’s wing to complete the feather pattern.

Step 22: Add a big heart shape above the love birds, in the centre.

Step 23: Include curved lines inside the main branch. Don’t forget to add a midrib to each leaf.

Step 24: Provide round eyes to both birds.

Step 25: Add bold eyeballs to each eye, leaving the white space around the corners for highlights.

Step 26: A charming love birds drawing is completed.
