How to draw an easy canyon? Monkey Pen guides you to create simple canyon art using step-by-step instructions.

Step 1: Draw a half-narrow oval on the right side of the paper to create a rock.

Step 2: Starting from the left side of the oval, draw a wavy design below that travels downwards in a vertical direction and then moves in a horizontal inclined direction.

Step 3: Repeat the same design behind, with an oval and wavy patterns, that lies slightly above it.

Step 4: Add still another layer of the above design that looks shorter and lies lower beside it.

Step 5: Next to the previous design, include a wavy pattern.

Step 6: On the left side of the paper, directly opposite the previous design, repeat the same design featuring an oval and waves.

Step 7: Leaving some distance, create another layer of the same design that lies above.

Step 8: Add the third layer too, on top of it, but this time, just wavy patterns alone.

Step 9: Draw one shorter wavy pattern slightly lower and below.

Step 10: Between the canyons, show the river movement using wavy patterns.

Step 11: Include wavy patterns in rocks on the right side to show the crack.

Step 12: Add horizontal lines in layers within the rock.

Step 13: Give wavy designs on the left-side rocks too.

Step 14: Then draw horizontal lines on the rocks.

Step 15: Add fluffy clouds in the sky above. Then on the left side below, draw a raindrop and oval shapes for the stones.

Step 16: A majestic canyon drawing is completed.
