How do you draw a cobra step-by-step? It is so easy with Monkey Pen’s quick guide.

Step 1: First draw the fangs that look like two vertical lines lying parallel to each other in an inclined position and split into two sharp needles.

Step 2: Draw the head, mouth and body using a deep U facing left, followed by a wiggly shape.

Step 3: Draw the lower head using a small curve with a tiny portion slightly going inside

Step 4: Provide the body outline on the right side too.

Step 5: Between the outlines, add a wavy line that passes inside.

Step 6: Draw the coil that looks like the alphabet 'U' facing the right side.

Step 7: On the hanging S-like thing, include a small curve above its end, which looks like an oval.

Step 8: Add its hooded head on the right side using a small curve in a vertical direction.

Step 9: Complete the coiled body that looks almost like a half-egg.

Step 10: Include the tail at the back using a curly line

Step 11: Complete the tail using another curly line on the outline.

Step 12: Give a rounded design on either side of the neck within the outline, below the head

Step 13: Add horizontal striped lines one below the other, within the central portion below the head, in a vertical series.

Step 14: Add some more stripes below.

Step 15: Also include a layer of vertical stripes within the coiled body at two places.

Step 16: Distribute scales for the hooded neck using tiny U's.

Step 17: Add scales for the coiled body too.

Step 18: Give scales for the remaining portion of the coil till the end of the tail.

Step 19: Now draw an eye and nostril with a small circle and two tiny dot-like circles

Step 20: Darken the eye, leaving the bottom space.

Step 21: A coiled cobra drawing is completed.
