How to Draw a Crocodile – Easy Reptile Drawing for Kids

With its long snout, textured body, and powerful tail, this crocodile drawing lesson turns a wild animal into an approachable step-by-step sketching project. Sharp teeth and long tails take shape as kids sketch a crocodile using bold lines and simple outlines.

Step 1: Draw the crocodile’s bumpy snout and the lower mouth line.

Step 2: Add the crocodile's bumpy upper side of the head.

Step 3: Attach the curves to form head on top. Then start drawing a line for the back side.

Step 4: Include a curved line on the lower jaw to form an open mouth.

Step 5: Draw the curved jawline under the mouth shape you have just drawn.

Step 6: Create a long curving line from the head to begin the body.

Step 7: Include the nose, teeth, and smile features.

Step 8: Draw a curving line towards the back of the crocodile's head to begin the body.

Step 9:Include the front leg that has small claws.

Step 10: Draw the second front leg again and the claws.

Step 11: Include the belly line starting from the leg’s you have just drawn.

Step 12: Create small bumps on the back of the crocodile.

Step 13: Include the back foot as well with tiny claws.

Step 14: Begin to curve the tail upward.

Step 15: Finish the long curving tail shape as given in the image.

Step 16: Make small bumps on the outer part of the tail.

Step 17: Make the belly line, then connect it with the back leg.

Step 18: Make oval-shaped spots on the crocodile's body.

Step 19: Make additional oval spots along the back.

Step 20: Make short curved lines along the tail and belly.

Step 21:Draw a circle inside the head of the crocodile.

Step 22:Incorporate the pupil in the eye.

Step 23:The pupil should be dark colored. You have successfully finished the drawing of the cute crocodile. Now pick your favourite colors and make the crocodile more beautiful.
