How to Draw a Ferret – Cute Animal Drawing for Kids

This ferret drawing lesson makes a long, playful animal feel much easier to tackle by breaking everything into simple, guided steps. Beginners are taken through the full process from the stretched body and small head to the tiny legs, ears, and signature curved tail using clear visual stages that keep things manageable. The tutorial helps you understand proportions without stress, so the ferret slowly takes shape in a natural, relaxed way. The printable PDF worksheet adds extra space for tracing, practice, and refining details at your own pace.

Learn how to draw a ferret with Monkey Pen’s step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Start from its fluffy head having tiny spikes. Then add a right and left ear that looks rounded.

Step 2: Draw its right lower face with tiny spikes and a curved line.

Step 3: Then create its left lower face just like the above.

Step 4: Add details for every ear with a tiny curve and few spikes below.

Step 5: Include eyebrows using dashes, a nose with a rounded triangle, and a mouth using two wide curves and a small curve below that lies between the gap of two curves above.

Step 6: On the right side, draw its neck and lower body with short, tiny, sharp spikes followed by gentle spikes in a curved line.

Step 7: On the left, create its neck using crowded spikes, then normal spikes.

Step 8: Draw its body and back with sharp spikes, a curved line, and then some few gentle spikes that extend in a curved manner.

Step 9: Add its front leg that is broad at the beginning and a little narrower towards the feet.

Step 10: Complete its lower body using the same soft spikes.

Step 11: Create its hind leg, which is shorter and broader than the first leg.

Step 12: Add its tail that looks fluffy and medium.

Step 13: Give its other front leg, which is less broad and short too.

Step 14: Include the other hind leg too, which is just the feet alone, as it is behind.

Step 15: Add toes for each foot using horizontal stripe-like lines.

Step 16: Give dash-like lines below the neck, on the body outline, and also on the tail to show its fluffy fur covered throughout its body.

Step 17: Include whiskers using small horizontal lines one below the other.

Step 18: Provide eyes using small circles.

Step 19: Fill the eyes inside, leaving the bottom and a tiny dot-like space at the centre.

Step 20: A furry ferret drawing is done.
