How to Draw a Firework Step-by-step – Easy Celebration Drawing for Kids

This firework drawing lesson turns a burst of energy into a simple, step-by-step sketching experience. Instead of feeling complex or chaotic, each explosion is broken down into easy radial lines and soft spark details that build gradually. Learners get to create bright, celebratory shapes that feel dynamic yet totally beginner-friendly. With clear visual guidance and a printable PDF worksheet included, it’s easy to practice, repeat, and experiment with different burst patterns until the page feels full of movement and light. A fun, expressive activity that captures the excitement of fireworks in a calm, guided way.

Bursting lines and sparkling patterns fill the sky as kids create an exciting firework drawing full of festive energy.

Step 1: Begin by drawing a few small clouds that are bumpy at the lower edge of the page.

Step 2: Starting from your clouds, draw a long, curving firework trail.

Step 3: Add two long, curved firework trails that rise out of the clouds.

Step 4: Draw the initial firework explosion above the left-hand side using long petal-like lines that curve around a central point.

Step 5: Create some small curving lines between the long ones to complete the initial firework burst.

Step 6: Draw the top section of a second burst of firework on the right-hand side of the upper left.

Step 7: Apply further curves to the right-hand firework to make it bigger and fuller.

Step 8: Continue to add long curved lines to finish the right firework blast.

Step 9: Create small, shorter, curving sparkles between bursts of fireworks you have just drawn.

Step 10: Draw two small fireworks-one near the top-left corner, and another near the bottom-right corner.

Step 11: Create tiny circles to create sparkles of light in the sky.

Step 12: Make a couple of tiny star shapes among the fireworks.

Step 13: Create the large, curved cloud on the bottom left.

Step 14: Follow the cloud trail to the bottom, just below the trails of fireworks.

Step 15: Complete the cloud bottom on both sides. Make sure that all the fireworks, sparks, stars, and clouds are completed. Now color your drawing to see the magic!
