How to Draw a German Shepherd – Easy Step-by-Step Dog Drawing for Kids

Follow Monkey Pen’s easy drawing guide and discover how to draw a German Shepherd with its alert ears and loyal expression.

Step 1: Draw two ears that are tall and pointed, with small furry edges.

Step 2: Include the right side of the head with shorter fur lines in a zigzag shape.

Step 3: Create the left side of the face similarly in order to finish the head form.

Step 4: Fur is added over the top and near the ears.

Step 5: Draw small lines inside the ears as shown in the image.

Step 6: Add the tongue and mouth along with the muzzle.

Step 7: Draw the nose, and then draw the middle line all the way to the mouth.

Step 8: Add two small lines for the eyes as well as the small lines on the dog's forehead.

Step 9: Draw a long, curved line starting from the upper side of the neck to create the back.

Step 10: Furry up the left side of the chest.

Step 11: Continue to draw the chest line downwards toward the body.

Step 12: Draw the front leg and the paw.

Step 13: Include the second front leg.

Step 14: Make sure the back leg is folded beneath the body as shown in the image.

Step 15: Then, stretch the second back paw out toward the side.

Step 16: Draw a zigzag line for the fluffy underside of the back thigh.

Step 17: Complete the back leg's rounded shape by adding fur on the backside.

Step 18: Draw the furry tail of the dog on the back of the dog.

Step 19: Finish the tail by securing the tail with more fluffy fur lines on the opposite side.

Step 20: Include shoulder and chest fur detailing as in the image.

Step 21: Draw fur-lined lines of small size on the back and belly leg.

Step 22: Include the claws and toes at the top of the paws.

Step 23: Draw your eyes and eyebrows.

Step 24: Complete your German Shepherd by adding dark eyes and cleaning up the outline. Now try some colors to make your drawing more beautiful!
