How to Draw the Golden Gate Bridge – Step-by-Step Landmark Drawing for Kids
Travel to one of the world's most famous bridges with Monkey Pen and learn how to draw the Golden Gate Bridge step by step using simple lines and easy shapes.
Step 1: Draw a straight line for the base. Above add thin rectangles, one smaller and one slightly bigger, that lie beside each other.

Step 2: Extend long vertical lines above the rectangles, for the pillar.

Step 3: Rise the tower above and include a tiny rounded cap at the top.

Step 4: Construct another baseline with rectangles, but smaller on the opposite side.

Step 5: Similarly, construct pillar above the baseline for the left side tower.

Step 6: Draw two sets of parallel lines that lie horizontally one below the other. This forms the deck.

Step 7: Continue the deck lines across the page, crossing the second pillar.

Step 8: Create the other side of the tall pillar. Don’t forget to add a tiny round at the top.

Step 9: Draw two rounded squares and two rounded rectangles one below the other, for the openings.

Step 10: Draw the outer edges of the openings.

Step 11: Now make the other side of the opposite pillar.

Step 12: Draw similar openings for this pillar as well.

Step 13: Now the outer edges for the openings are made.

Step 14: From the right side, draw a curved cable rising towards the top of the large tower.

Step 15: Continue the cable from the large tower to the smaller tower in the shape of wide ‘U’.

Step 16: Draw another slanting line to show one more cable passing through the opening of the large pillar.

Step 17: The second cable joins the small pillar.

Step 18: Draw a straight horizontal line under the bridge and above the baseline, that indicates the water level.

Step 19: Draw some wavy lines behind the smaller pillar’s base.

Step 20: Draw a bumpy, curved line under the water level on the left side, which represents a rock.

Step 21: Add a few more uneven lines line inside the rocky shore.

Step 22: Draw several short, wavy lines under the water mark. This denotes the water flow.

Step 23: Add tiny vertical sections along the side of the bridge deck.

Step 24: Include a small triangle within each section of the bridge deck.

Step 25: Now draw triangles on the lower part of the deck to complete the criss-cross pattern.

Step 26: Construct long vertical cables from the upper cable down to the bridge deck on the right side.

Step 27: Add some more evenly spaced vertical cables in the middle part.

Step 28: Include the remaining vertical cables near the smaller pillar.

Step 29: Add few clouds in the sky.

Step 30: A majestic golden gate bridge is built.
