Step 1: Start with a curved line for the top of the head.

Step 2: Add the lower mouth line, stretching it slightly to the left.

Step 3: Draw the long-forked tongue that comes out of the mouth.

Step 4: Add the lower mouth with almost a straight line.

Step 5: Draw the curved back and the lower neckline.

Step 6: Add the first front leg with sharp claws.

Step 7: Draw the second front leg beside it.

Step 8: Add the belly line and start the back leg.

Step 9: Extend the long back line towards the tail.

Step 10: Draw the back foot with claws.

Step 11: Add a curled tail at the back.

Step 12: Draw small detail lines on the face, neck, legs, and body.

Step 13: Add a few extra folds and curves around the mouth, neck and belly. Don’t forget to include upper eyelid and a nostril.

Step 14: Define both front and back feet of the animal.

Step 15: Draw the pattern of small scales on the upper body.

Step 16: Draw more scale patches on the side and tail. Please remember to add its eye in the shape of an oval.

Step 17: Add an eyeball to the eye.
