How to Draw a Magnolia Flower – Step-by-Step Guide  

Step 1: First start with an imperfect oval for the petal in the centre.

Step 2: Beside it, draw a wide petal.

Step 3: On the right side, make a slightly bigger petal.

Step 4: Draw a bigger petal above the central petal.

Step 5: A petal is added on the left side.

Step 6: Include a petal on the lower left side.

Step 7: Add a half petal at the back.

Step 8: Draw a petal on the right.

Step 9: Make a wide curve under the petal that lies in the bottom. 

Step 10: Form a few sharp portions in the centre.

Step 11: Above it, include a triangular cone-like thing.

Step 12: Add a tiny tipped section near the middle.

Step 13: On the outside borders of the petals draw curving lines.

Step 14: Draw lines in the centre of each petal.

Step 15: Make a line of little curls under the flower for the stem.

Step 16: Next to it draw another curly line to make the stem thicker.

Step 17: Another stem is added.

Step 18: Connect the two little stems to make a major stem/branch. Add some detail to the stalk.

Step 19: Draw a leaf on the right side of the stem.

Step 20: Draw one tiny leaf on the left side.

Step 21: Draw lines through the centre of each leaf. 

Step 22: Draw short lines showing the veins running through each leaf.

Step 23: Add a little twig above on the left side.

Step 24: Add a petal on top to make a flower bud.

Step 25: Next to it draw a petal.

Step 26: Draw a narrow petal on the right side.

Step 27: Add a few petals at the back.

Step 28: Complete the bud with the final petal.

Step 29: The drawing of the magnolia flower is done.
