Step 1: Sketch a group of little leaves in a circle. Add a few more leaves beneath it.

Step 2: Add some more leaves on top of it in a sloppy direction.

Step 3: Now include very few leaves beside it.

Step 4: Next to it, some more leaves can be drawn.

Step 5: Create tiny branches on the right-side bottom to hold the leaves.

Step 6: Make a slightly larger branch, which is the main one towards the right corner. Also add a tiny branch linked to the leaves above.

Step 7: Add some little branches for the leaves in the central part.

Step 8: Draw branches for the leaves on the left side.

Step 9: Now make a main branch that lies at the centre, above which few little branches arise.

Step 10: The above main branch splits into another one nearby, with small branches emerging above.

Step 11: Create a main branch on the left side also with child branches going sideways, that look like fingers.

Step 12: Draw its root that fall diagonally in the downward direction.

Step 13: From this main root, create baby roots using vertical lines.

Step 14: Add one more main root nearby, along with a few baby roots hanging beneath.

Step 15: Another main root can be shown beside it.

Step 16: Now make a main root that splits from the above main root and travels in the opposite direction.

Step 17: Just close to it lies another set of roots.

Step 18: One more main root is started and is yet to be completed.

Step 19: Now finish that main root with baby roots.

Step 20: In between the main roots lying on the right side, add a few roots.

Step 21: Don’t forget to draw a main root located centrally.

Step 22: Provide mid-ribs for all the leaves.

Step 23: Draw the water surface almost above the roots using a long straight line. Then add tiny lines underneath, horizontally, to show the water movement. Remember to show circular motions of water under the roots.

Step 24: A tropical mangrove tree is completed.
