How to Draw a Medieval Castle – Easy Step-by-Step Castle Drawing for Kids
Travel back to the age of kings and knights with Monkey Pen and learn how to draw a medieval castle step by step using simple towers and stone walls.
Step 1: Start with two short vertical lines with a tiny circle on top for the flagpole.

Step 2: Below, construct a triangular roof.

Step 3: Draw a curved line at the bottom of the roof for its inner edge.

Step 4: Build a tower beneath it with battlements.

Step 5: Next arises the central tower with battlements on its upper side.

Step 6: Complete the base of the central tower.

Step 7: On the right side, make a small, rectangular tower with battlements.

Step 8: Draw a curved line underneath and extend vertical lines to complete the tower.

Step 9: On the left side, create another rectangular tower.

Step 10: The baseline of the tower is drawn.

Step 11: Under the central tower, sketch a big arch for the entrance.

Step 12: Make another arch inside the doorway.

Step 13: Draw tiny horizontal and vertical lines around the arch to show the stone blocks.

Step 14: Add a tall tower on the right side.

Step 15: Now include a tall tower on the left side.

Step 16: Make triangular roofs on top of both the towers.

Step 17: Draw curved roof edges for the towers.

Step 18: Don’t forget to add flagpoles to these towers.

Step 19: Connect the tall towers with the central tower using battlements.

Step 20: On top of the battlements, add two small towers.

Step 21: Build a small roof above each tower.

Step 22: Include flagpoles and curved roof lines for these towers.

Step 23: Draw a few curved lines across each roof.

Step 24: Tiny arched windows are added to each tower.

Step 25: Across the castle walls, add small stone blocks.

Step 26: Draw curved lines with a hook design at one of their ends that indicates the ground surface.

Step 27: Above each curved line draw a cloud-like shape for the bushes.

Step 28: Add details on the castle doors.

Step 29: The door handles and hinges are provided.

Step 30: Create vertical planks on the door.

Step 31: On top of every tower, add a small waving flag attached to the flagpole.

Step 32: You have sketched a majestic medieval castle.
