Take flight with Monkey Pen and learn how to draw a military helicopter step by step using simple shapes and clear drawing techniques.

Step 1: First draw a curved line for the front of the helicopter.

Step 2: For the top and the body, draw a large curve from one end of the curved line to the back.

Step 3: Make two little vertical lines on the lower bodyline.

Step 4: Draw a straight line along with it and a second parallel line.

Step 5: Draw the tail with an inclined line at the back.

Step 6: Draw long horizontal lines under the torso, bending above on one side. That is what is called a landing skid.

Step 7: Make four tiny blades for the tail rotor.

Step 8: Behind the rotor, include the tail fin.

Step 9: Add the side wing and the tail wing below and under the rotor.

Step 10: Draw two small squares for the front cockpit windows.

Step 11: Two more windows are included behind them.

Step 12: Construct a door surrounding the last window and a small light at the front.

Step 13: Draw "L"-shaped lines below the door and towards the tail.

Step 14: Include a star badge with a circle around it.

Step 15: Draw the second landing grid on the other side.

Step 16: Make a rounded rectangle on the top of the helicopter for the engine cover.

Step 17: Above the engine cover, layer a rectangle and a square for the rotor base. Don’t forget to add a small portion of a rectangle behind the cover.

Step 18: Design the central rotor hub.

Step 19: Add the first main rotor blade on the right side.

Step 20: Draw the second rotor blade on the left side.

Step 21: Add the third rotor blade on the right side.

Step 22: On the left side, include the fourth rotor blade.

Step 23: Write “ARMY” in block letters on the tail portion.

Step 24: You have created a strong military helicopter.
