How to Draw a Mirror Step-by-step – Easy Home Object Drawing for Kids

Reflective, simple, and surprisingly fun to sketch, this mirror drawing lesson turns an everyday object into an easy step-by-step art activity. The visual guide breaks the mirror into clean shapes, helping beginners understand symmetry, framing, and proportions without getting lost in details. It’s a great practice piece for kids and new artists who enjoy drawing familiar household objects. Printable PDF worksheets are included, making it easy to follow along, repeat each stage, and watch a clear, realistic mirror take shape line by line.

Frames and shiny surfaces take shape as kids sketch a mirror using smooth curves and simple lines.

Step 1: First, draw an oval.

Step 2: Draw an ‘m’-shaped design and a sharp oval on top of it.

Step 3: Create the outer corners starting from the right side.

Step 4: Now make the outer edges on the left side. Leave the middle part alone.

Step 5: Add curly designs at the base of the mirror.

Step 6: Between the curly designs, include a pointed narrow oval and a tiny circle below.

Step 7: Beside the circle, draw an oval in an inclined position on the left side and extend a spiral line from one end of the oval, which makes the handle.

Step 8: Complete the handle with another spiral line followed by an oval above.

Step 9: On the top, add a heart shape within ‘m’.

Step 10: On either side of the heart design, add decorations with a spiral followed by an arch shape.

Step 11: Now draw a tiny U with a little oval below.

Step 12: Include a hook-like design that is double-layered, on both the sides. Then draw a small flower beneath.

Step 13: Below each flower, sketch a spiral design once again.

Step 14: Complete every side with a spiral shape followed by a tiny arch.

Step 15: Draw the inner edges of the handle, that resemble a narrow vase.

Step 16: On the bottom of the vase, draw a small heart with a few raindrop shapes below.

Step 17: Sketch diagonal lines across the oval.

Step 18: A decorative mirror drawing is completed.
