How to Draw Music Notes – Easy Step-by-Step Music Drawing for Kids

This guide helps children learn to draw the distinct shapes of quavers, crotchets, and minims, alongside the elegant curves of a treble clef, using basic shapes and simple lines. Step 1: Sketch a diagonal line that is long and has a curved loop at the top.

Step 2: Sketch a bottom line slanting downward and an upward short line on the right side.

Step 3: Sketch another note that resembles the previous one.

Step 4: Draw straight lines to connect the inner bottom part.

Step 5: Underneath draw a big, curving bass-clef like shape.

Step 6: Draw a little curve inside and two small circles next to it.

Step 7: Draw a tall oval on the right-hand side.

Step 8: Bring the line down into a nice curve.

Step 9: Curve the line around to make the treble clef.

Step 10: Create a big round loop at the bottom.

Step 11: Draw a straight line down across the treble clef and curl the bottom.

Step 12: Draw the inner line to complete the treble clef.

Step 13: Sketch another musical note at the upper right. The head and the stem should be curved.

Step 14: Draw a note with a head on top of it.

Step 15: Draw a vertical line below each head and join the two with a straight line.

Step 16: Finish the first note on the upper right with a small rectangular bar inside.

Step 17: In lower right draw an oval head, starting a quaver note.

Step 18: Now design the curved flag with a diagonal line over the head and an arc shape along the line.

Step 19: Finish the inside of the arc of the quaver note.

Step 20: Draw a little oval note head toward the end of the stem.

Step 21: From it draw a long stem upwards.

Step 22: Draw a parallel line to the thicker stem.

Step 23: Make another small note head in the lower left.

Step 24: Put on a square top line, and a stem.

Step 25: Add another notehead next to it.

Step 26: Connect the two notes with a top bar.

Step 27: You have completed sketching music notes.
