Learn how to draw an orange with Monkey Pen’s step-by-step drawing lesson and turn a simple circle into a fresh and colourful fruit sketch.

Step 1: Draw an oval-shaped end with a thin, tube-like stem. You will then have to draw a long leaf connected with the stem.

Step 2: Draw midrib for the leaf with veins.

Step 3: From the stem, draw an outline for the fruit in the form of big circle.

Step 4: Make the other side of the fruit using a wide curve.

Step 5: Draw a spherical form below the base of the stem, in the fruit, radiating in several directions from it.

Step 6: Cut the orange into an arc-shaped piece.

Step 7: Draw another circle around the whole slice.

Step 8: Draw a half-moon form for the thick part below.

Step 9: Draw its segments in the form of triangles.

Step 10: Add some more segments.

Step 11: Include some more sections.

Step 12: Another two segments are placed inside the slice, which makes the juicy part.

Step 13: Complete the slice by adding the remaining segments.

Step 14: Draw a circle surrounding these segments to show the thick peel above it.

Step 15: Provide small spots on the outer surface of the whole orange, using dots.

Step 16: Now draw thin, little triangles inside half of the segments.

Step 17: On the remaining segments, don’t forget to make triangles.

Step 18: A fresh orange is ready to eat.
