How to Draw an Orchid – Easy Step-by-Step Flower Drawing for Kids

Step 1: Draw an oval shape and two small rounds at its bottom for the central part of the orchid.

Step 2: Add small, curved petals around the central area.

Step 3: Draw a big round petal to the left of the central petal.

Step 4: Draw a big round petal on the right side.

Step 5: Create another petal on the upper side, in between the two petals you have just drawn.

Step 6: Draw two tiny lower petals on the lower side of the flower as shown in the image.

Step 7: Draw a shorter stem that is below the orchids in the image.

Step 8: Begin an extended curved stem that curves downwards.

Step 9: Draw another line parallel to the line you have just drawn, to make it more thick.

Step 10: Keep extending the stem downwards with a curve in the middle.

Step 11: Add tiny joints to the stem.

Step 12: Draw a slim side shoot adjacent to the primary stem.

Step 13: Draw the center of another orchid on this side-stem.

Step 14: Add small, curved petals around the second flower's center.

Step 15: Draw a big round petal to the right side of your second orchid.

Step 16: Draw another big petal on the left side.

Step 17: Draw one more petal that is on the upper side of the second flower.

Step 18: Add two lower petals to complete the orchid flower.

Step 19: Begin drawing an extended leaf starting from the left side of the stem.

Step 20: Finish the left leaf using an angled edge and lower side.

Step 21: Draw a leaf that extends from the bottom of the stem towards the right.

Step 22: Finish the right leaf by creating a curved, pointed form and a curvy lower side.

Step 23: Place an additional leaf at the lower part of the stem, just below the leaf that you have drawn now.

Step 24: Add another lower leaf on the opposite side to finish the group of leaves.

Step 25: Extend the first drawn stem as shown in the picture

Step 26: Draw a few oval-shaped orchid buds that are of various shapes on the branch.

Step 27: Add the central veins on the leaves as well as specifics for the buds.

Step 28: Make the roots of the plant at the base.

Step 29: Add additional roots to ensure that the root system is fuller.

Step 30: Complete the drawing of orchids by adding the remaining details, if any, and give your drawing beautiful shades to make them more attractive.
