How to draw a phoenix? Any ideas? Check out this easy guide from Monkey Pen.
Step 1: Hold the small spiky beak. Please remember to place a small dot inside the beak for the nose.

Step 2: Draw the rear of the head with long, sharp spikes.

Step 3: Add a couple of additional spikes along the head; this is the neck region.

Step 4: Draw the front neck that has a curving part and then draw the spikes.

Step 5: Go down and create a body with a wide curvature.

Step 6: Draw the feathers on the left side with curved lines.

Step 7: Draw sharp ‘V’s stretching vertically to make the feather pattern at the back.

Step 8: Include a few more Vs for the feather patterns.

Step 9: Now draw a few more Vs.

Step 10: Add the left leg.

Step 11: Now add the right leg too, in the same way.

Step 12: Draw the left feet along with sharp claws.

Step 13: Sketch the right feet too, just like the above.

Step 14: Create a fiery wing that has a spiral shape.

Step 15: Add curly 'V’s for the feather pattern.

Step 16: Provide a few long, thick Vs to make the feathers.

Step 17: Illustrate the burning fire using curly Vs.

Step 18: Continue the burning fire using pointed, curly Vs.

Step 19: Draw curly abstract shapes to complete the burning fire.

Step 20: Create the right wing with a spiral line.

Step 21: Make the right wing using a few sharp Vs.

Step 22: Add some Vs for the feather.

Step 23: With a few Vs, the feather is complete.

Step 24: Extend the Vs within the left and right feathers inwards.

Step 25: Make another layer of feather patterns with many Vs connected.

Step 26: Add details for the head. Also draw curly lines above the second layer of feathers on both sides. Don’t forget to place a few Vs within the body.

Step 27: Show the burning fire within the outline as well.

Step 28: Include an oval-shaped eye with a tiny dash at the back.

Step 29: Shade the eye, leaving the corners at the back.

Step 30: A Phoenix artwork is completed.
