Get ready to sketch a hardworking vehicle as Monkey Pen shows you how to draw a pickup truck step by step using simple shapes and bold outlines.

Step 1: Draw a diagonal rectangle shape for the front windscreen.

Step 2: Draw a horizontal line from the top of the windscreen that goes down after a while. This is the top part of the vehicle.

Step 3: Draw a short straight line from one edge of the rectangle-shaped windscreen, then turn left.

Step 4: Draw the outline of the vehicle with an 'L' shape facing to the right.

Step 5: Draw a medium rounded-corner rectangle for the front grille.

Step 6: Now add the front bumper as a long rectangle.

Step 7: Draw a wheel well at the bottom of the truck.

Step 8: With a horizontal line, a slanted line and a vertical line, draw the outline of the door.

Step 9: The outline of the door is finished.

Step 10: Attach a rectangular headlight in front of the grill. 

Step 11: Draw a long line behind the door to create the bed of the truck.

Step 12: Draw a small vertical rectangle for the rear light.

Step 13: Another wheel arch is created at the rear with longer lines at both ends.

Step 14: Draw a diagonal line to represent the edge of the truck bed.

Step 15: Draw the front and back wheels as circles.

Step 16: Draw the other side of the wheels in the form of arches.

Step 17: Now make the trapezium shape side window.

Step 18: Add side mirror, door handle and rear part details.

Step 19: Create a horizontal stripe design on the inner front grille.

Step 20: Draw a rectangle for the number plate, and add some details to the bumper.

Step 21: Draw somewhat smaller circles inside each wheel.

Step 22: Sketch a small circle on each wheel. Draw a tiny circle in the centre of each wheel.

Step 23: Draw the wheel spokes around the little circle.

Step 24: Finish sketching a strong pickup truck.
