How to Draw a Pufferfish – Step-by-Step Fish Drawing for Kids

Step 1: Draw three little triangle spikes in a curving line.

Step 2: Add more triangle spikes to keep curving upward.

Step 3: Add spikes until the top of the body becomes a wide arch.

Step 4: Add three extra spikes to the lower right side.

Step 5: Add spikes along the bottom edge.

Step 6: Extend the spikes from the bottom left up.

Step 7: Draw a curved line connecting the spikes to start the spherical upper body.

Step 8: Connect the rest of the spikes to complete the outline of the body.

Step 9: On the left side, draw a wiggly tail fin.

Step 10: Draw a small, curved line above the tail and a few horizontal lines inside the tail fin.

Step 11: Draw two curled eyebrows and smiling lips.

Step 12: Add one side fin and a small right fin.

Step 13: Make stripes on both side fins.

Step 14: Draw little circles on the top body.

Step 15: Draw short V-shaped marks on the lower body.

Step 16: Add more V-shaped marks across the belly.

Step 18: Add smaller circles inside the eyes for the pupils. Then color them leaving small white highlights.

Step 19: Draw rocks, and small pebbles in the seabed.

Step 20: Add coral, rock, and a starfish on the ocean surface.

Step 21: Add a wavy seabed line.

Step 22: Draw bubbles around the pufferfish.

Step 23: A cute pufferfish is ready to color.
