How to Draw a Skunk – Easy Woodland Animal Drawing for Kids

 


Fluffy tails and bold stripes take shape as kids sketch a skunk using curved lines and simple outlines.

Step 1: Start by drawing the fluffy head of the skunk with little spikes on the head.

Step 2: Draw a curved line at the right-hand side of the face.

Step 3: Draw both ears on the left and right sides.

Step 4: Finally, draw the inner ear to both ears. Draw little ovals.

Step 5: Draw the face on the left with a vertical line and little spikes.

Step 6: Draw the lower face, including the chin with a wide curve and a small, wide U in the middle.

Step 7: With little dashes, add eyebrows and a rounded triangle for the nose. For the mouth make a big curve, a little curve under, and dashes at the ends.

Step 8: Define the face inside with a m shape.

Step 9: Complete the face outline with tiny curves.

Step 10: Behind the head lies the body that can created by a big upside-down C- shaped curve.

Step 11: Draw the lower body at the front using small sharp spikes.

Step 12: Add the front leg on the right which is short and narrow.

Step 13: Draw the left front leg that starts from the thigh with few spikes and a vertical line below.

Step 14: Complete the left leg using a few spikes followed by a line stretching vertically with an oval-shaped feet below.

Step 15: Draw the belly or lower body with a short line that is almost straight.

Step 16: Add the right hind leg, which looks shorter as it is on the other side.

Step 17: Make a wide, big C for the left thigh at the back. Then extend below with a rectangular foot.

Step 18: Add paws and toes using upside-down Cs and tiny stripes.

Step 19: Draw a small line above the lower body.

Step 20: Add a narrow V on the forehead.

Step 21: Sketch the hair texture on the outer body with curved lines and spikes.

Step 22: Above it, draw a long line that is slightly curvy.

Step 23: Provide a long wiggly tail, that rises above at the back. 

Step 24: Make the whole tail using a series of spiky curves.

Step 25: Draw the outline of the tail below as well.

Step 26: Sketch the hair texture that runs in the middle also.

Step 27: Show the texture of fur for the complete tail.

Step 28: Give eyes that look like half-ovals.

Step 29: Draw tiny half-ovals for eyeballs.

Step 30: A happy skunk is ready to be colored.
