Let your drawing take flight with Monkey Pen and learn how to draw a swallow bird step by step using smooth curves, pointed wings, and a distinctive forked tail.

Step 1: Draw a small, sharp beak.

Step 2: Draw a round head behind the beak.

Step 3: Make a long sloping line behind the head for the bird’s body.

Step 4: Extend a large curve for the lower wing from the other side of the head.

Step 5: Add tiny curves to the back of the wing.

Step 6: From the long sloping line, draw another short line and join it with the big wing to complete the body.

Step 7: Start the upper wing with a long upward curve.

Step 8: Include scalloped outer edges to the upper wing.

Step 9: Draw two long lines from the tail part of the body.

Step 10: Join both the lines to look like a “V” shape.

Step 11: Make a small curved patch beside the beak.

Step 12: Inside both the wings, scalloped, feathery edges are added.

Step 13: Behind the scalloped edges, create long horizontal lines across the upper wing.

Step 14: The feather lines are added to the lower wing too.

Step 15: Draw a few lines within the "V"-shaped tail portion too.

Step 16: Add a round eye to the bird.

Step 17: Darken the eye, leaving a small corner and a tiny dot-shaped space for the highlight.

Step 18: A swallow bird drawing is over.
