How to Draw a Warship – Simple Step-by-Step Ship Drawing for Kids

Set sail with Monkey Pen and learn how to draw a warship step by step using simple shapes and easy details to create a powerful naval vessel.

Step 1: Draw a wavy line using curves for the movement of water.

Step 2: Make the front and back portions of the ship using vertical lines.

Step 3: Form the top portion of the ship with horizontal lines sloping one below the other.

Step 4: On the top of the raised part, make a long deck.

Step 5: Across the front deck, create a safety railing.

Step 6: At a small distance above the front deck, make a long gun barrel.

Step 7: Behind the gun barrel, add the gun turret.

Step 8: Construct a small cabin behind the gun.

Step 9: Draw a long rectangle for the rear deck of the ship.

Step 10: Make the first level of the main bridge with a horizontal line that follows a vertical line.

Step 11: Complete the first level of the bridge.

Step 12: Construct the second level above the first.

Step 13: Add one more level above.

Step 14: The next smallest level is also built. Behind this, form another small structure.

Step 15: Draw two radar domes in a round shape.

Step 16: Include a tall mast in a ‘6’ shape with a small flag on top.

Step 17: Place a radar on the top of the mast. 

Step 18: Add long horizontal radar bars on opposite sides of the mast.

Step 19: Draw long vertical lines in a triangular shape for the front portion of the mast.

Step 20: On the top, add a small antenna.

Step 21: The rear part of the ship is completed.

Step 22: Behind the ship, add two missiles that look like cylindrical rods.

Step 23: A few more missiles are added to the missile launcher.

Step 24: Behind the missile launcher, draw the back platform.

Step 25: On top of the rear part, add a small radar.

Step 26: Add tiny square windows above the first level of the bridge. Also remember to include a window below the mast.

Step 27: Include the side windows, anchor, and portholes.

Step 28: Make a few antennas on the radar bars.

Step 29: Beneath the ship, draw some wavy lines to show the water flow.

Step 30: You have sketched a powerful warship.
