In a cosy little house with a blue front door lived a cheerful girl named Lily.
Lily loved sunny days.
She loved running through the garden, picking little flowers, and watching butterflies flutter by.
Every morning, she hurried outside to play.
One morning, Lily pulled back the curtains.
Instead of sunshine, she saw dark clouds.
Drip... Drop...
Raindrops tapped on the window.
"Oh no," sighed Lily.
"I wanted to play outside."
Mama smiled and disappeared for a moment.
When she came back, she was holding something bright and colourful.
It was a beautiful umbrella!
It had red, yellow, blue, and green stripes.
"For me?" asked Lily.
Mama nodded.
"It's your very first umbrella."
Lily opened it.
Pop!
She giggled.
Together, Lily and Mama stepped outside.
The rain fell softly.
Tap... Tap... Tap...
The raindrops danced on the umbrella.
Lily listened carefully.
"It sounds like a little song!" she laughed.
As they walked along the garden path, Lily saw a tiny puddle.
She looked at Mama.
"Can I?"
Mama smiled.
"Go ahead!"
Splash!
Lily jumped into the puddle.
Tiny drops splashed all around her.
She laughed.
Then she found another puddle.
Splash! Splash!
Soon, Lily was hopping from puddle to puddle with the biggest smile.
Along the way, she spotted a little snail slowly crossing the path.
"Hello, Snail!" she waved.
She saw two birds happily splashing in a puddle.
She smelled the fresh flowers sparkling with tiny raindrops.
Rainy days weren't gloomy after all.
They were full of wonderful surprises!
After a while, the rain began to slow.
The clouds gently moved away.
Warm sunshine peeked through the sky.
Suddenly, Lily pointed excitedly.
"Mama, look!"
A beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky.
It glowed with bright, colourful stripes.
"Wow!" whispered Lily.
"It's the prettiest rainbow I've ever seen."
Mama smiled.
"The rain helped make that rainbow."
Lily looked at her colourful umbrella.
Then she looked at the rainbow.
She smiled from ear to ear.
"I thought rainy days weren't fun," she said.
"But today was the best adventure!"
Hand in hand, Lily and Mama walked home, with the colourful umbrella above them and the beautiful rainbow shining behind them.
From that day on, whenever raindrops began to fall...
Lily didn't stay by the window.
She happily picked up her little umbrella and skipped outside, ready for another rainy-day adventure.
Moral :- Every day has something special to enjoy. ☂️🌈
