One afternoon, Noah went to the park with Grandma.

Children were running everywhere.

Swinging…

laughing…

playing ball…

Noah smiled.

Every evening, Mother Bee reminded Buzzy to return before dark and avoid the lotus flowers after sunset.

“Why, Mama?” he asked.

“A huge toy train!” he said.

Grandma laughed softly.

“That sounds fun.”

Then Noah saw a little boy sitting quietly on a bench nearby.

The boy watched the other children play.

But he did not run.

A pair of walking sticks rested beside him.

Noah looked carefully.

The little boy smiled at the children…

but his eyes also looked sad.

Noah’s heart felt heavy inside.

He looked at the swings.

Then at the little boy.

Then he whispered,

“Grandma…”

“Yes?”

“I think my wish changed.”

Grandma smiled gently.

“What is your wish now?”

Noah looked at the little boy again.

“I wish every child could run, play, and laugh happily.”

Grandma hugged him close.

“That is a very kind wish,” she said softly.

Noah walked slowly to the little boy.

“Would you like to blow bubbles with me?” He asked softly.

The little boy’s eyes widened.

“Really?”

Noah nodded.

Grandma handed them a small bottle of bubble.

Tiny bubbles floated into the air.

Big bubbles…

little bubbles…

The boys laughed happily.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Some bubbles landed on their noses.

Some floated high above the flowers.

Soon, both boys were giggling together on the bench.

Grandma smiled warmly.

Noah’s heart felt full and happy.

And he realized—

Sometimes the best wishes are the ones that help someone smile.

Moral: A caring heart wishes happiness not only for itself, but for everyone.
