One afternoon, Aarav was playing in the house.
He rolled his ball…
he stacked his blocks…
and made funny faces in the mirror.
Mama said, “Aarav, the floor is wet. Walk slowly.”
“I know!” said Aarav.
He ran anyway.
Quick… quick…
Oops!
Slip!
Plop!
Aarav sat on the floor.
“Oh!” he said.
Mama helped him up.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
Aarav nodded.
A little later, Papa said,
“Put your toys in the box, Aarav.”
“I will do it later,” said Aarav.
He kept playing.
Soon—
crash!
He stepped on his toy.
“Ouch!” he said.
Papa came and picked him up.
“Small things can hurt when we don’t listen,” he said gently.
Aarav looked at his toys.
He felt quiet.
In the evening, Mama said,
“Come, wash your hands before dinner.”
This time, Aarav stopped.
“Okay,” he said.
He washed his hands.
“Good job,” she said.
Aarav smiled too.
“Listening helps me stay safe,” he said.
Mama nodded.
“Yes, it does.”
That night, Aarav kept his toys in the box.
He walked slowly on the floor.
And he listened.
He felt proud and happy.
He knew what to do next time.
And from that day on, Aarav tried his best to listen.
Because listening made his day better… and kept him safe.
