In a bright little garden filled with colourful flowers lived a tiny ladybird named Lulu.
Lulu had shiny red wings, little black legs, and seven beautiful black spots.
Every morning, she flew from flower to flower.
She waved to the butterflies.
She greeted the busy bees.
She smiled at the sleepy daisies.
Lulu loved her spots.
"They make me look just like a ladybird!" she would say proudly.
One warm morning, Lulu was playing hide-and-seek with her friends.
She flew around a sunflower...
Zoom!
She circled a rose...
Swish!
Then she landed on a big green leaf to rest.
Just then, a tiny raindrop fell onto one of her wings.
Plop!
Lulu looked down.
"Oh!"
One of her black spots had disappeared!
She looked again.
Another spot was gone!
"My spots!" cried Lulu.
"Where did they go?"
Lulu hurried around the garden.
"Have you seen my spots?" she asked Daisy Butterfly.
Daisy looked carefully.
"I don't see them."
Lulu flew over to Buzzy Bee.
"Have you seen my spots?" she asked.
Buzzy buzzed around Lulu with a friendly smile.
"No," he said.
"But don't worry."
Soon, Mama Ladybird came flying over.
"What happened, Lulu?" she asked gently.
"I've lost my spots!" Lulu sniffled.
Mama smiled kindly.
She gave Lulu a warm hug.
"Oh, my little ladybird," she said.
"You haven't lost your spots."
Lulu blinked.
"I haven't?"
Mama gently wiped Lulu's wings with a soft leaf.
The tiny raindrops rolled away.
There, shining in the sunshine, were all seven black spots!
"They were hiding under the water drops!" laughed Mama.
Lulu looked at her wings.
"My spots are back!".
She twirled happily through the air.
Round and round she flew.
Her friends clapped and laughed.
"We knew they would come back!" said Daisy Butterfly.
Lulu smiled the biggest smile.
She wasn't worried anymore.
From that day on, whenever raindrops landed on her wings, Lulu simply giggled.
"My spots are just playing hide-and-seek!"
Then she flew happily through the colourful garden, waving to all her friends.
