Six-year-old Ishan loved asking questions.

"Why do stars twinkle?"

"How do birds know where to fly?"

"Why do leaves fall in autumn?"

Sometimes he asked so many questions that everyone laughed kindly.

One evening, Ishan asked, “Where does the wind go when it stops blowing?”

A tiny glowing fox appeared outside his window, its orange fur and bright tail shining like lantern light.

“I’ve been waiting for a child like you,” it said.

“For me?” Ishan asked.

The fox nodded. “I appear whenever someone asks a thoughtful question. Would you like to follow me?”

Ishan happily agreed.

The fox led him into a quiet enchanted forest.

The trees sparkled with tiny lights.

The flowers glowed beneath the moon.

Ahead were three woodland paths.

But none of them were open.

The glowing fox smiled.

"Only curious minds can unlock these paths."

Ishan looked around.

"What do I need to do?"

"Ask a question."

Ishan thought carefully.

“Why do trees grow so tall?”

At once, the first path opened.

At the next crossroads, he asked, “Why do butterflies have colourful wings?”

Slowly, another path appeared.

The fox's lantern-like tail glowed even brighter.

As they walked deeper into the forest, wonderful things appeared.

Talking flowers.

Laughing streams.

Friendly owls.

Tiny stars resting on leaves.

Each new question opened another hidden path.

Soon they reached the last part of the forest.

There stood the biggest gate Ishan had ever seen.

It was covered with glowing vines.

"This is the final path," said the fox.

Ishan folded his arms proudly.

"I think I already know everything now."

"I don't need to ask any more questions."

The forest became quiet.

The fox's glowing tail grew dim.

The flowers stopped shining.

Even the little stars became faint.

Ishan looked worried.

"What's happening?"

The fox smiled gently.

"When we stop asking questions..."

"Our light grows smaller."

Ishan thought carefully.

Then he looked beyond the great gate.

"I wonder..."

"What wonderful things are waiting on the other side?"

The moment the words left his mouth...

The fox's lantern shone brighter than ever.

The great gate slowly opened.

Beyond it stretched the most beautiful meadow Ishan had ever seen.

There were sparkling ponds.

Butterflies with rainbow wings.

Trees filled with golden fruit.

Birds singing joyful songs.

Children exploring happily.

Everyone was asking questions. Everyone was discovering something new.

Ishan smiled.

"I don't have to know everything."

"I just have to keep wondering."

The glowing fox nodded happily.

"Every good question is the beginning of a new adventure."

At sunrise, the fox brought Ishan home and touched his hand with its glowing tail.

“Every thoughtful question opens a new path to explore,” it whispered before disappearing.

From then on, Ishan was never embarrassed to ask questions. He listened, wondered and discovered something new every day.

Moral: Asking questions is a sign of wisdom, not weakness.
