One sunny day, a mother duck walked to the pond.
Tap… tap… tap…
Her little ducklings followed.
Waddle… waddle… waddle…
“Come, little ones,” said Mama Duck.
One by one, the ducklings jumped in.
Splash! Splash!
They swam happily.
But one tiny duckling stayed back.
“I’m scared,” it said softly.
Mama Duck came close and smiled.
“You don’t have to jump,” she said.
“Just touch the water first.”
The duckling touched the water with its feet.
“It feels nice…”
“Stay close to me,” said Mama Duck.
“Now try both feet,” said Mama Duck softly.
The duckling stepped closer…
“The water will hold you,” said Mama Duck.
The duckling took a small step—
splash!
“Oh!”
It didn’t sink.
It floated!
The duckling paddled slowly…
swish… swish…
“I’m doing it!” it quacked happily.
“See? The water is helping you,” said Mama Duck.
Soon, it swam with the others.
Splash! Splash!
The little duckling laughed and played in the pond.
Moral:- Bravery grows when we take one small step at a time.
