Every night, six-year-old Mina looked out of her window, counting stars and waving to the moon.
One quiet night before bed, she noticed a silver glow beneath her bed.
“What’s that?” she whispered.

Mina peeked beneath the bed and found a frightened little moonbeam trembling like a ribbon of light.
“Are you lost?” she asked.
The moonbeam flickered as if nodding, then floated into Mina’s pocket.
It was warm, light and fit perfectly.

Just then, a tiny voice whispered,
"I fell from the moon."
"If I don't get home before sunrise...I'll disappear forever."
Mina's eyes grew wide.
"I have to help you!"
She quietly slipped on her shoes, wrapped herself in a cosy little coat, and tiptoed outside.

The whole forest was asleep.
The trees swayed gently.
Owls watched silently from high branches.
Fireflies blinked like tiny lanterns.
But Mina didn't know how to return something made only of light.

As she wondered what to do, a white moth fluttered quietly beside her.
"I know someone who may help," the moth whispered.
"Follow me."
The little moth led Mina deeper into the forest until they reached a field of beautiful night flowers.

An old flower lifted its glowing face beneath the moonlight.
“The moonbeam cannot be carried by hand,” it said. “It must travel on a mirror of light.”
“Where can we find one?” Mina asked.
“At the still pond beyond the trees,” the flower replied.

Mina hurried along the winding path.
Soon she reached a quiet pond.
Its water was smooth like shiny glass.
The moon floated perfectly on its surface.
But the moonbeam remained tucked safely inside Mina's pocket.
"It won't come out," Mina said sadly.

A soft voice answered from behind her.
It was the tallest shadow in the forest.
"Moonbeams follow kindness," the shadow whispered.
"They never leave until they know they are safe."
Mina smiled warmly.
She gently held her pocket close.

“You don’t have to be afraid. You’re going home,” Mina said.
The moonbeam floated onto the moon’s reflection.
Suddenly, the pond glowed brightly, and the reflection became a silver path leading into the sky.

The tiny moonbeam happily danced along the path.
Higher...
Higher...
Higher...
Until it reached the moon.
The moon shone brighter than before.
For just a moment, it seemed to wink at Mina.

Then the silver path quietly faded away.
The moth fluttered happily.
The night flowers swayed in the gentle breeze.
Even the quiet shadows seemed to smile.

Mina walked home beneath the stars.
In bed, she found a tiny silver sparkle in her pocket—a gift from the moonbeam.
It reminded her that even a small act of kindness could make the world brighter.
Whenever the moon shone through her window, Mina smiled and whispered, “I’m glad you made it home.”
High above, the moon seemed to shine even brighter.
Moral: Even a small act of kindness can bring light to someone else.
