Step… step… step…
“I am going home,” it said.
Suddenly, the ant stopped.
“Oh no! A big leaf!”
The leaf was wide and tall.
The ant looked up.
“I can’t go around,” it said.
“I will try.”
Step… step… step…
The ant climbed a little…then slipped.
“Oh!”
It tried again.
Step… step… step…
Up it went…
slowly… slowly…
At last, the ant reached the top.
“I did it!” the ant cheered.
Then it climbed down the other side
and walked happily home.
