How to Draw a Snail – Cute Garden Creature Sketch for Kids

Like to learn how to draw a snail? With Monkey Pen’s step-by-step guide, you can easily sketch a snail using simple tricks.

Step 1: First, start with the head. Draw two rounds supported by parallel lines for a pair of tentacles that look like lollipops connected.

Step 2: From one tentacle, draw an upward curve, then a downward curve sidewise.

Step 3: Draw a big curve from another tentacle that slightly bends in between.

Step 4: Along with the big curve, add gentle curves that go slanting after some distance. Then create a sharp curve to turn in the opposite direction, followed by a few soft curves.

Step 5: Draw a medium curve touching the body on the other side.

Step 6: On top of the whole body on the left side, add a big half-circle for the shell.

Step 7: Draw the inner layer of shell that looks like a big C in a slanting position.

Step 8: Include the innermost layers of the shell that appear like a coil.

Step 9: Draw a small slanting line that touches the left side of the body and the shell.

Step 10: Draw vertical lines on the outer shell on one side. On the other side, draw a series of small vertical lines, followed by a tiny dash. Also include a tiny dash on every tentacle.

Step 11: Inside the inner layers of the shell, add vertical lines on every side.

Step 12: Draw tiny, wide ‘U’s on the lower part of the snail’s body.

Step 13: Draw its curved mouth with a slanting, narrow 'U'. Inside the mouth, draw a small half-heart shape.

Step 14: Draw two small rounds for the eyes and darken them, leaving a tiny space that looks like a circle inside.

Step 15: A happy snail drawing is over.
